Puerto Galera Beaches, Big La Laguna

Puerto Galera Beaches, Big La Laguna

Sometimes when walking around int he tourist spots in Puerto Galera one has to wonder where those beaches are. In Sabang it is easy, not much m=beach left. Although they make a nice attempt to recreate the beach feel in the right side of the parking area at the end of the road entering Sabang. I saw the other day that that little cove is all sandy now. The other side, where all the stone walls of restaurants and dive…

What to do when you get a STD in Puerto Galera?

What to do when you get a STD in Puerto Galera?

Puerto Galera has many sides to it. Beautiful nature, nice beaches, and a buzzing nightlife. And it is one of the Philippines hotspots for sex-tourism for both gay and straight. Roro’s and banka’s almost every hour and wide stretched roads even through the mountains. As for Puerto Galera: only bankas, if you want…

Puerto Galera, Mindoro, town centre

Puerto Galera, Mindoro, town centre

First of all: clear traffic lanes, roads are finished and made of concrete and there is a lot of one way traffic, which makes traffic a lot better to handle than two years ago, when traffic was a massive jam. In the Philippines there is no such thing as ‘lanes’ people just ride, regardless the markings…

Renting an apartment in Puerto Galera, Philippines

Renting an apartment in Puerto Galera, Philippines

After the first stage of the journey through the Philippines I arrived in Puerto Galera again. It was two years ago since I first came here. I started my adventure in October 2015 in Puerto Galera, where I did an all inclusive in Badladz Beach Resort. The benefits of an all inclusive in those days were that you can get used to the country and overcome your culture shock within save boundaries of hotel grounds. With not a lot to…
